Dear Colleagues,
Last week’s announcement ended the Restrictions Exemption Program (REP), sometimes referred to as the vaccine passport program. The program was never required for regulated health professionals, including chiropractors. Except for regulated members who operate inside facilities where REP was required, the removal of REP should have no impact on your day-to-day operations.
As of today, children under the age of 13 are no longer required to mask in any settings as per Chief Medical Office of Health (CMOH) order 08-2022. Local bylaws may impose stricter conditions than the province regarding masking. You are required to follow the most stringent requirement.
The Pandemic Practice Directive has been updated with the items above and is available on the CCOA website. All other components of the practice directive still apply.
We will continue to communicate the changes and impacts via the Pandemic Practice Directive in a timely manner. Please note that government announcements often precede changes to the CMOH orders so there is often a lag between announcements and new orders.
The next update to the Pandemic Practice Directive will coincide with the CMOH order related to the province’s Step 2 of Easing Public Measures projected to occur March 1. That step is conditional on hospitalizations trending downwards.
Please contact the Registrar at registrar@theccoa.ca if you have any questions.
Best Regards,
