The Council of the College of Chiropractors of Alberta (CCOA) will soon be accepting applications for regulated members to join Council. Being on the CCOA Council is a rewarding experience offering:

growth and learning opportunities.
the privilege of serving the public interest.
colleagueship with other Council members and CCOA staff.
governance experience.
per diems for meetings and Council work.

One Council vacancy available

Each year, terms of two regulated members serving on Council end on June 30. On December 15, 2023, CCOA Council approved the extension of Dr. Jason Hollingsworth for an additional three-year term. Dr. Kirsten Baxter's term is expiring on June 30, 2024, and she is not seeking re-appointment. Therefore, there will be one vacancy to fill on Council in 2024.

Call for applicants - March 13-April 15, 2024

The online application will be open from March 13 to noon, April 15, 2024.

Competency-based selection

The appointment process will include competency-based selection, which was adopted by Council in 2021. To support this, all applicants will complete a competency-based matrix within the application.
